GlamAlert: Haute Hosiery to Keep You Warm!

How happy am I that we will not have to deal with cold weather much longer! Spring is right around the corner. (Thank God!)  But in the meantime, it's still a little frigid out, and me not being a lover of the cold (actually a HATER of the cold), I'm always on the lookout for cute accessories to keep me warm.

Since I was a little whipper-snapper, I've always loved a good, quality pair of cable knit tights.  Nothing's changed, I still love my tights! They're just a little more official and fashionable now.

Check out a few of the ones I've been coveting below!

Lourdes Tights  $215

Tuxedo Tights $21

Captivate Tights $62

Casino Tights $62
Luna Tights $62
Oh and a few days ago, I spied these super-cute tights on an infamous Basketball Wive's Instagram page!  I'm in absolute LUST!

(This is not the best pic, but you can still decipher the cuteness of the tights nonetheless...)

Rock & Republic made it's Debut at Kohl's Stores This Week!

Diffusion lines are cropping up everywhere, but for some strange reason, I was really surprised when I first heard that the premium designer denim label, Rock & Republic was making it's way to Kohl's.  They actually made their debut in Kohl's stores this past Wednesday.

At first glance at the collection online, I'm not too impressed. The clothing looks a tad bit suspect, and I didn't see much originality.  I'm so over the abstract graphics I could scream. (I think we all are.)

But I'm really curious to check out the quality of the denim, as they've held a steady position in the premium denim game for quite sometime, I can't imagine they'd go too far to the left on the quality.

Another thing I noticed is that the prices aren't very diffusion-friendly.  When I think diffusion lines in the likes, of Kohl's, JCPenney's, Sears, etc, price points near the $70 range don't necessarily come to mind.  I'm thinking more like $25-$50 as a median price point.

Now I must say the shoes look pretty fab online.  They give a little more of an upscale feel than the clothing, but we all know finding a quality, stylish, somewhat comfortable, AND cost-savvy shoe can be hard to come by. So we'll see. I have yet to see them in person, but I'll be posting an update once I do check them out.  The normal price of the shoes hover around the $50-$70 range, but as you see above, they are currently on sale online, around the $40-$50 range.

The following are a few pics from their look book.  Check the line out and tell me what you think.

GLAMNEWS: Will Jason Wu's Collection Knock Missoni off the Target Throne Feb 5th?

Jason Wu's (designer of Michelle Obama's 2008 Inaugural gown) collabo with Target will hit stores in just 5 more days - February 5th!

I'm really hoping Target is more prepared than they were for Missoni's debut this past September, during which they suffered from a crashed website right in the midst of the Missoni Pandemonium.  This time I'm sure they're praying it'll be different, as the Wu collection is much smaller. It only has 50 items, as opposed to the over 400 items Missoni boasted.

But I don't know, Target may be underestimating this super-cute & girly line.  I''ve got a feeling this might just be the fashion boost many of us ladies need right about now to help cure these winter blues.  I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Lovin' Jessica White's Effortless Ultra Glam Look!

I've been holding on to this post for a minute, trying to find the gold studded, cognac colored boots Jessica White is sportin' below. Still no luck yet.  But I was able to spin this Ultra-Glam look into a cost-savvy version, that's just as chic!
This Cost-Savvy Look runs just around the $300 mark!  I think that's pretty good for a Rachel Roy (faux) Fur, Minnetonka Boots and Hudson Designer Denim, and my favorite Tissue T's from Tar-jay (Target)!

SideNote: I was lucky enough to scoop up the Rachel Roy cropped jacket around the holidays at a great deal.  The pic above doesn't do it that much justice, it's a much cuter jacket in person.

UPDATE: The Minnetonka Boots have been reduced from $100 to $65!
